Just Mercy - Bryan Stevenson

What can I say about Bryan Stevenson's book - Just Mercy - that hasn't already been said by people of much higher caliber than myself? A whole heck of a lot I can tell ya that!

First of all, if you are not already familiar with the phenomenal advocacy work of Bryan Stevenson, I highly recommend you take a few minutes to visit Equal Justice Initiative https://eji.org/ . There you will find a wealth of information regarding his life's work. My desire to turn towards advocacy was sparked after watching a Ted Talk given by Mr. Stevenson, and I have been an avid follower of his work ever since.

Just Mercy is a personal accounting of Mr. Stevenson's introduction to our dysfunctional criminal justice system and the need for reform. It is beautifully written in a way that everyone can understand the inner workings of the judicial system from a lawyer's perspective.

It pulls at the heartstrings and pounds the mind with so much information to contemplate.

Just Mercy does an excellent job of showing the reader what our world looks like from a judicial as well as a penal point of view.
